Detoxification doesn’t have to be unpleasant. We aim to make the detox as relaxed, comfortable and effective as possible. We will do a full medical assessment which will determine what level of medication is required, it is very important that you are honest with us about the amount of drugs you have been using and had within the last 48 hours as this will determine the kind of detox and level of prescribed medication – a vital aspect for a comfortable detox.
Within this unit you will receive a range of interventions to aid the detoxification process using a holistic approach. These include motivational sessions, relapse prevention, complementary therapies such as massage, relaxation, auricular acupuncture, health screening along with nutrition advice and peer support. A full medical and health screening including blood borne virus screening and referral to specialist secondary medical treatment will take place if this is determined in your care plan.
This unit is overseen by an experienced doctor and Medical Director and has a full team of qualified RMNs & RGNs together with a support team.
