Semi-Independent Living
Leaving treatment and rehabilitation for many individuals who have never lived on their own or have been institutionalised for a number of years is a huge step and holds a fear factor. We have recently refurbished another large Edwardian building on the same site with the purpose of semi-independent living. This allows clients to slowly (2-6 months) integrate back into the community with partial support before moving into their own accommodation.
The conditions of the licence held for the accommodation:
- Completion of Therapeutic Phase l Rehabilitation
- Completion of four week Phase ll Resettlement Programme
- In employment, further education, work placement or voluntary work
- Attends weekly aftercare and support systems available
- Random drug screening and breathalysing will take place
This unit is funded via Housing Benefit and as well as the aftercare support clients will receive floating support.
